Custom Dashboard

Overview

Replacing the default dashboard is a very quick and straightforward process. The @webiny/app-serverless-cms packages exposes a Dashboard component, which you can decorate using the createComponentPlugin utility, and replace the contents of the whole dashboard.

Replace the Default Dashboard

To replace the dashboard, go to apps/admin/src/App.tsx in your Webiny project, and apply the following code changes:

When your custom component is rendered, it has access to all context providers within the Admin app, so you’re free to do whatever you need. In this example, we fetch the current identity to display the user’s name.
